The Team Swachh Bharat Action Kit is an innovative, ready-to-use, play-based action kit for schools. It uses games and other activities to promote healthy behaviours.

By incorporating this Action Kit into the education system, the young learners of our country also support the Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya initiative of the Government of India.

The Team Swachh Bharat Action Kit combines play-based learning with rule-based habit formation, and engages children through daily and weekly activities in an ongoing way, throughout the entire academic year.

With simple rules and repetitive, fun activities for the entire school to internalize healthy behaviours as routine, the students learn about the importance of:

  • Going to a toilet
  • Keeping toilets clean
  • Handwashing with soap
  • Drinking clean water
  • 1 Kit

  • 1 school

  • 500 students

  • 1.4 Lakh

  • Rise in Demand
    for Toilets

  • 400 Lives Saved Everyday
    Good Sanitation Habits

  • Swachh Bharat

  • Healthy Children

  • Happy Bharat

Every kit donated, will reach government and rural schools across the country. With an average of 500 students per school, the Team Swachh Action Kit will help inform and inculcate healthy sanitation and cleanliness habits into their daily lives. With 400 children dying everyday due to poor sanitation facilities, the Kit will create a rise in demand for toilets in people’s homes and schools.

What is

The Hamara! Action Kit is a do-it-yourself handbook that enables everyone to educate children about sanitation and hygiene through games and other activities. The handbook also provides detailed instructions on how to create games using locally available low or no-cost materials. We encourage any individual, school or organisation who wants to help achieve the Swachh Bharat to use the Hamara! Action Kit!

Who is the hamara!
Action Kit for?

The Hamara! Action Kit has been designed for children and adolescents between the age of 6 and 15 years, but the games are great for adults too! For using this playbook with children we suggest:

6 - 9 years

Children will need the help of a facilitator to build the materials and to play games.

10 - 15 years

Children can build the materials themselves. They might even facilitate the games themselves.
